Are you looking for happiness in life?
Everyone is seeking for happiness.
We think we can be happy if we own that house or car or have more money.
But we are never happy. We just want more and more.
But there is something we really want that is still missing.
We think we are missing happiness.
Actually what we are missing is something else.
We want something as big as the universe. That is how big our appetite is.
Only God can satisfy us. Because He is bigger than the universe.
God created us to be happy with Him. But we doubt Him. We think we can find happiness somewhere else.
So we leave God and try to find it. That’s why we are still searching but can’t find it.
God can give us true joy, satisfaction, fulfillment, significance in Him.
He wants to give you eternal life in heaven when you die.
Even here in this world, He can give you a full life, that is, you can live life to the fullest.
How?
By having Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
Why?
Because we have turned away from God and sinned against Him. We are sinners. We need to come back to God. We need to say sorry to Him. We need to ask Him for His forgiveness of our sins.
And then we believe in Jesus as our Lord and Savior.
We want to give up our old lives and live a new life in Christ. We want to love and follow Jesus.
Then we have the assurance of God’s promise that we have eternal life. And that when we die, we will go to heaven to be with the Lord and others who believe in Him.
Heaven is a place where there is no pain, sorrow, sickness, decay, or death. Everyone in heaven loves one another. There will be eternal joy and peace in heaven.
Knowing that we have eternal life gives us peace of mind and joy in our hearts. Because we know that no matter what happens to us, whether we live 20 or 30 or 40 or 100 years in this world, we still have a long, long, long life in heaven. It is a life without end.
That is what gives us true security in life.
When we have a security that is so sure and eternal, we can really be happy.
You can say the following prayer to God. He is listening to you right now.
“Dear Lord Jesus. I confess that I am a sinner. I repent of my sins. I believe in You as my Lord and Savior. Please forgive me my sins. I want eternal life in heaven. I want a brand new life. Give me peace and joy in my heart. I will love and follow You. Amen.”
